Meet the Track Team for 2024

Rachel Sergison | Track Co Ordinator

Rachel has always had a passion for cars and motorsport. During what was meant to be a gap year after university, she started working at Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb. She loved it so much that she decided against starting her graduate job and continued working there. Rachel began hill climbing in 2014 and transitioned to circuit racing in 2018. She then turned her passion into a profession by establishing her own motorsport events business. Now, she lives in the north with her husband, who shares herenthusiasm for motorsport, and she has never looked back.

 

John Hutchinson | Chief Instructor (Grade S)

Holding his ARDS license since 2004, John (also known as Hutch) started his career in motorsport in the mid 1990’s in single-seaters. His racing career peaked as BRSCC Formula Ford Champion2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 & 2006. Since then, whilst running a successful recruitment company, John has kept his passion for motorsport alive by coaching novice to advanced drivers across the UK and raced with his customers including winning in a Lotus Cortina previously raced by Sir Stirling Moss.  He steps up as Chief Instructor for Secret Meet 2024 to ensure you all have a safe and enjoyable track experience.

 

Phil Bailey | Track Support (Grade A)

Phil’s career began in karting during the 1980s, where he quickly showcased his natural talent and passion for racing. Progressing through the ranks Phil moved into single-seater racing before participating in the Radical European Masters, where he achieved several podium finishes in the SR3. 

In 2008, Phil made his mark in endurance racing, participating in events such as the British GT Championship in both GT3 and GT4 classes, showcasing his stamina and strategic racing skills. His dedication to the sport and continuous pursuit of excellence have earned him respect and admiration within the paddock and is now recognised as an excellent ARDS instructor working with manufacturers such as Aston Martin and McLaren.

 

Jamie Falvey | Driver Coach (Grade A)

Former Royal Marine Commando and racing driver, Jamie is known for his resilience and determination both on and off the track. After a distinguished military career, he transitioned to motorsport and quickly made a name for himself. Jamie has been actively involved with supporting drivers with disability and promoting the mental health benefits that racing provides to UK military personnel and blue light services.

A champion in the Caterham stable, Jamie has also competed in the various Ginetta championships, earning multiple podiums and race wins. This year he joins Team Virage in the Le Mans CupLMP3 class finishing P2 at the last round in Le Castellet. His unique background has helped Jamie forge a successful driver coaching career and he will be providing in-car coaching at Secret Meet again this year.

 

James Littlejohn | Driver Coach (Grade A)

James’ career spans numerous racing series, earning a reputation as a formidable competitor. His achievements include notable victories in the Radical European Masters, where he clinched the championship in 2012. Littlejohn has also excelled in the British GT Championship, securing multiple podium finishes and wins.

Additionally, he has competed in the LMP3Cup and European Le Mans Series and more recently historic racing, showcasing his adaptability and expertise in endurance racing. James’ lifelong passion for racing and his continuous pursuit of excellence make him a respected and admired driver coach as well as driver.

Ryan Lindsey | Driver Coach (Grade A)

A well-regarded driver coach and racing driver working with industry-leading brands such as Aston Martin, McLaren, Lamborghini, Radical Motorsport and DTOMotorsport. Ryan started his motorsport career 24 years ago in karts making his mark as champion across 10 championships in 3 years before moving into single-seaters. Ryan was offered a place on the Caterham F1 driver program and planned to compete in F3 in 2012, but he was unable to raise the funding and Caterham pulled out of F1.

Ryan then moved over to racing GT cars and Radicals competing in Britcar Endurance series in a BMW M3 GTR and BMW Z4 GT3, Dutch Supercar Challenge in Lamborghini Super Trofeo and BMW M3 GTR, South African Endurance Series in a Shelby Can-Am, 24hr Series in a BMW M3 GTR and the Radical UK Cup. Ryan’s love of racing and industry experience has made him a respected driver coach for over 16 years.

Gus Bowers | Driver Coach (Grade A)

Gus is a rising star in the world of motorsport. He began his journey in karting, and his talent soon caught the attention of scouts, propelling him into the world of car racing. Like notable drivers such as Lando Norris, Gus made his mark in the Ginetta Junior Championship, showcasing his natural skill and determination on the circuit. With each race, he consistently displayed his ability to navigate challenging courses with finesse, securing podium finishes and earning respect from peers and fans alike.

Beyond the Ginetta Junior and GT5 series, Bowers has set his sights on higher aspirations, moving his career into GT4 racing in championships such as British GT and European GT4 in both the Aston Martin and McLaren 570S. Gus is a familiar face within the paddock and regarded an excellent driver coach.

 

Katie Ross | Race Admin (Grade A)

Helping to coordinate off-track, Katie Ross (nee Milner) is no stranger to the race circuit. Coming from a racing pedigree, she has followed in her dad Jonny Milners (WRC Champion 2002 and 2003 in Toyotal Corolla WRC) footsteps in forging a successful career in Motorsport. 

Katie was awarded a slot on the 2021 McLaren Driver Development program competing in the British GT Championship. Whilst she has forged a successful career in GT racing, she was notably the Autograss Champion in 2014-15. Katie has been coaching for over 5 years, working with leading manufacturers including McLaren, Lotus and Ginetta. She will be on hand in sign-on to help with any circuit or track queries throughout the day.

Jess Loveridge | Race Admin

Jess’ involvement in motorsport spans around 14 years, beginning as a member of a local car club. Over the years, she has done various promotional work for companies at different car events, which led to hostessing for popular brands and circuits including British Superbikes, and Blancpain GTSeries, before eventually becoming the British F4 Assistant Coordinator for several years.  

Each position resulted from meeting people at previous events and leveraging her personable and chatty nature to secure new opportunities. Jess feels extremely fortunate to have worked at many fantastic venues and events and with incredibly knowledgeable and experienced individuals. When she’s not trackside or caring for her young son, she is helping many happy couples plan their wedding leading a team of Ceremony officers for her local council.
